La seña I-LOVE-YOU

Muchos amigos que están apoyando la campaña no tienen relación con el mundo sordo.

De algunos de ellos me ha llegado la pregunta sobre la seña que hacen con la mano las niñas que enviaron las fotografías con la leyenda "Cultura -sorda, gratuita!!".

Esa seña es una composición que reune tres formas de la mano del alfabeto con el que deletrean las personas sordas en la mayoría de países occidentales. Se trata de las letras I, L (del inglés "love") e Y (de la palabra "you"). Esta seña, inicialmente acuñada en los Estados Unidos, se ha convertido en el símbolo internacional de afecto entre la gente del mundo sordo.
