Distribution
The aim of distributing a short film or any audiovisual piece is to reach as many people as possible. It is one of the most expensive processes, but also the most important.

$ 1,182 | |
Visual Effects
This short film makes a lot of use of stopmotion animation, and this technique requires a lot of visual effects work, since everything has to be created from 0. That's why we want to involve a team of people to help us with all this volume of work.

Material necessary for the animation process
Stopmotion animation, and traditional animation techniques, require a lot of handwork and drawing material to carry out.
|
$ 215 | |
Color grading
Color grading in a film or short film is very important. A professional colorist has tools that we don't have, and brings a lot of quality to the final result of the project.

+ Distribution
This amount of money is not essential for a good national distribution, although it would be necessary to be able to reach an international audience with our short film. Also we would use it for the short film to be in the process of distribution for longuer.

Promotional material
It would be ideal to be able to invest in the design and edition of promotional material such as the poster, banner, trailer...

Synopsis: Guillem, a green-skinned teenager, decides to do balconing in order to impress his friends. During the fall, he will take a trip to his past to understand how he has ended up in this situation.
Caure bé is a short film about masculinity and the need to fit in, to fall well.
Apart from the thematic and narrative research, it has also been a project in which we wanted to experiment a lot with the formal aspect of the project. This is a short film that combines stop motion animation of articulated puppets and another, more traditional, hand-drawn animation.
Falling well was born as our final degree project in ESCAC (The cinema university of catalonia).
After spending a whole year working on this project, we are in the post-production process. In other words, we are already in the final stretch!
We plan to finish it and start distributing it in the coming months, but to do that, we need your help!
Going into details, what exactly would we invest all the money we raise in?

Distribution:
The distribution of a short film or any audiovisual piece has the objective of reaching as many people as possible. It is one of the most expensive processes, but also the most important.
That is why we intend to entrust this process to a professional distributor.
This has certain advantages: Mainly, the project is in the hands of professionals who know the film sector better than we do, and who know very well where to send the short film.
And, secondly, being part of a professional distributor gives the project a certain prestige, and makes it more highly valued by film festivals, and, therefore, can reach more audiences.
We all want to be liked, but there are many ways to achieve that. We have researched the concept of "Caure bé", an expression that means "to be liked", and we notice that it is a contradictory concept. "Falling" is a negative action, which we believe cannot be done "well". This transports us to an attitude that is also contradictory but real, liking from disliking.
In this short film we talk about the boy who ate ants to get attention and the drunk who jumps from a balcony in Magaluf for the same reason.
Although we are ashamed to admit it, we have a bit of them. The process of creating this project has also helped us to get to know each other better, and we hope that it can serve to make us self-aware of attitudes as toxic as these, which many of us share.
We are David Junyent and Pau Muns, directors and screenwriters of this project (and also best friends). We have previous experience in the medium of animation and also directing several low-cost short films.

Our project intends to make visible and to understand the toxic attitudes that many people acquire in order to fit in socially, and which can end in dangerous acts such as Balconing or in mental illnesses such as depression.
We believe that it is important to make this conflict visible, so that whoever suffers from it can feel identified, recognize it, and in this way, seek help.
