La Osmia, (Osmia rufa, Osmia lignaria, Osmia cornuta y otras especies) es un insecto de la familia Apidae, que no produce miel pero es un excelente polinizador. Es un insecto manso, si lo molestas generalmente huye, pero recuerda que las hembras pican y los los machos muerden! Al igual de lo que pasa con muchos insectos silvestres, la pérdida de ecosistemas y falta de hábitat adecuado son causa de disminución y amenaza de la especie. Colocar "hoteles de insectos", tal como lo haremos en la tierra BEElive! puede ayudar a protegerlos, además de ser una herramienta fascinante para su observación y fácil de construir con materiales reciclados y que la naturaleza nos ofrece. L’ Osmia, (Osmia rufa, Osmia lignaria, Osmia cornuta, e altre specie), è un insetto bottinatore della famiglia degli Apidae, che non produce miele ma è un’ottima impollinatrice. È un insetto mansueto, se disturbato generalmente scappa, però ricordatevi che la femmina punge e il maschio morde! Come succede per molti insetti, la perdita degli ecosistemi e la mancanza di un habitat adeguato è causa di diminuzione e minaccia della specie. Collocare “hotel di insetti”, come faremo nella terra BEElive! può aiutare alla loro salvaguardia, oltre a essere uno strumento affascinante per la loro osservazione e facilmente costruibili con materiali riciclati e che la natura ci offre.
